Hello, I hope everyone is doing well! I just got back from a wonderful vacation with my family. It's been a long time since we have taken an entire week to do nothing, but have fun! We went skiing and had a blast...even my kids did great and were so surprised! Now, it's back to reality and work....along with that comes some news that I must share with you...
It seems as though there has been a law passed that will GREATLY affect my businesses along with many other small businesses that sell items (clothing, jewelry, bows, and anything else you can imagine) for children under the age of 12. Of course this all has to do with the controversial subject of lead content. Although I would NEVER sell anything I even remotely belived to be dagerous to your children, I am pretty much being forced to hold off on making any childrens jewelry after February 10th. With this law I would have to pay to have a certified lab test each and every bead *all sizes and colors* and carry certificates to prove content of lead. This is not only expensive, but just plain riduculous in my eyes. I am hopeful that this law will be ammended in a way that I can make some small changes so my jewelry, but not have to stop all together. I will keep you posted when I learn more...
So, if you are wanting to purchase anything for children under the age of 12 PLEASE do so before the February 10th deadline. After February 10th I will change the availablity of all childrens jewerly for 12 years and older until further notice. **THIS LAW DOES NOT AFFECT THE SALE OF JEWELRY FOR ANYONE OVER THE AGE OF 12**
Please know that I am working very hard along with many other small business owners to have this law ammended ASAP. I will keep you posted with any changes when they become available to me. Thank you for your continued support...
