Updates...

I know it's been SOOOOO long since I have blogged...so much has been going on!

First of all I am tickled that my jewelry will be featured in the popular TV show "Numbers" which airs on Friday nights. I created a Mommy and Baby bracelet set that will be in the show...not sure on the air date as of yet, but it's exciting!

I have new items that I will be adding in the next week to prepare for the Mothers Day rush. Remember, Mothers Day is May 10th...just around the corner! Please order early to avoid delays and expedited shipping costs.

Also...the regular Mommy stuff keeps me so busy. My oldest is playing machine pitch baseball and his practices are keeping us awfully busy...the games start tomorrow. My little one has been sick, so we ALL know how that goes.

Update on the "lead law" as I like to call it...

Well, it seems as though I will still be in the baby and childrens jewelry business...for now. I will have to replace all of my Swarovski crystals with Jablonex Czech firepolished glass beads and the Swarovski pearls with Czech glass pearls...both of which do not contain lead. Swarovski does contain a small amount of lead, but it is NOT accessible. Swarovski "the leading manufacturer of leaded crystal" claims that their jewelry will not harm anyone. I am hopeful that this new law enforced by the CPSIA will allow Swarovski at some point because it's simply unmatched in quality and beauty.

**Remember this ONLY applies to jewelry for children 12 and under**

Simple...but too cute!

I am adding a few new things today...one of them is this sweet keychain. It is priced at only $7.95 which includes one dangle. It's not too small or too big...just perfect! Great for Daddy or Grandpa too!

I got a little good news today...the "law" for childrens jewelry is starting to look a little better. I am still waiting on updates, but at least the lawmakers are starting to listen to all of the small business owners! YAY!!!!!!!! I will keep you posted...

I'm back.....but with some news...........

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well! I just got back from a wonderful vacation with my family. It's been a long time since we have taken an entire week to do nothing, but have fun! We went skiing and had a blast...even my kids did great and were so surprised! Now, it's back to reality and work....along with that comes some news that I must share with you...

It seems as though there has been a law passed that will GREATLY affect my businesses along with many other small businesses that sell items (clothing, jewelry, bows, and anything else you can imagine) for children under the age of 12. Of course this all has to do with the controversial subject of lead content. Although I would NEVER sell anything I even remotely belived to be dagerous to your children, I am pretty much being forced to hold off on making any childrens jewelry after February 10th. With this law I would have to pay to have a certified lab test each and every bead *all sizes and colors* and carry certificates to prove content of lead. This is not only expensive, but just plain riduculous in my eyes. I am hopeful that this law will be ammended in a way that I can make some small changes so my jewelry, but not have to stop all together. I will keep you posted when I learn more...

So, if you are wanting to purchase anything for children under the age of 12 PLEASE do so before the February 10th deadline. After February 10th I will change the availablity of all childrens jewerly for 12 years and older until further notice. **THIS LAW DOES NOT AFFECT THE SALE OF JEWELRY FOR ANYONE OVER THE AGE OF 12**

Hey strangers...

I am so sorry it's been a long time since I have blogged...things are finally getting back to normal, for now.

I must say that this holiday season was my best by far and I have all of you to thank...THANK YOU! I truly appreciate all of you...my faithful returning customers and my new customers! Your continued support of my small business allows me to have the best of both worlds, an income to help support my family and to be there for my kids...that's the most important thing to me. *hugs*

I also wanted to let everyone know that I will be taking a much needed vacation to New Mexico for some snow/skiing with my family. This will be a huge surprise for my kids, they have NO clue we are going anywhere...hee hee I am thrilled and can't wait to see the look on their faces! I will be gone from January 16th - January 24th. I will be available via email during that time for any questions you may have.
